Eerie Shades of Conservatism Past...

Let's hope this is all blather intended to obfuscate, rather than an indication of actual intentions...

In the Have-We-Learned-Nothing Department:  Barack Obama tells the NY Times that he's not looking to change the equation between business and the public sector:  “I’m not out to increase the size of the government long- term,” he said. “My preference would be that the private sector was doing this all on their own."

 So I guess all we need is a little tinkering?  Hello, Herbert Hoover calling...

That— and a promise to go after Social Security and perhaps he could really start this Administration out on a flatline.  Didn't our current President start his second term attacking Social Security?  That worked out...  In fact, the one thing we can be thankful for today is that we DIDN'T privatize social security in 2005.  Imagine how much worse the current situation would be now if we had!
