9: 05--Fannie and Freddie caused the crisis... let the BS begin...

9:06--Obama wants to be likeable... how much more likeable does he need to be?

9:08--McCain likes Joe... he's gonna help him buy the business!

9:09--Obama, nice zinger... oh, here's the 4 Billion for oil companies again...he likes Joe too...tax break for Joe

9:11--Oh, my god...this is Joe's debate!

9:12--Warren Buffett, Joe, let's get back to Joe.  Get Joe on the phone!

9:13-- Finally, Schieffer gets back in this... what will we do without...besides jobs?

9:15--Yeah, we'll get by without unnecessary programs... but let's invest.  Obama's talking cutting back, but no examples... hey there's an election coming up!

9:17--McCain wants to invest in all these energy sources, but first let's freeze spending-- with a hatchet!

9:18--McCain put people in jail, Obama's got that planetarium again.  What, 4 Billion saved...great, we just spent 250 Billion on Wall St.

9:20--McCain's not Bush, right?  Hatchets, scalpels, new directions, let Obama tell him something he did... oh, and Obama wants to do that?  Why?

9:23--Nice response on Bush confusion... McCain supports Bush on almost all economic policies.

9:25-- OK the rubber meets the road...here's the question about the nasty crap...

9:26-- John Lewis is the cause of all this....and he can prove it!

9:28-- Obama is onto something here...100% of McCain ads are negative.  That isn't because we didn't have Town Halls forever.  Let's talk about the economic crisis.

9:31-- whoa, drinking game on Joe the plumber!

9:32-- The Palin Browshirt rallies are fair game...let's get the game on.

9:33--McCain is going to defend his supporters, no matter what happens when they call for the death of the opponent.

9:35-- Let's stop being so disagreeable...Obama...so McCain wants to go into Ayers and ACORN!

9:37--Ayers now.  All the wonderful people who sat on the board with them... now Obama's onto the ACORN motor voter bill.  More about McCain's desperation than about Bill Ayers that it's the center of his campaign.  This is looking good.

9:40-- Running mates... Oh God! Schieffer's on fire!

9:41-- Love the fighting Joe.  Fight, Joe fight.

9:43--Sarah's a role model... and a partner...she's a special needs Mom...united our Party. (no mention of field dressing a moose)

9:45--Joe's got cockamamie ideas... oh, really, do we want to open THAT door?

9:47--Energy.  Will we get an answer?

9:47--Nukes, nukes, nukes...and the others...McCain will do it.  It's all about Venezuela?

9:49--Can't drill our way out.  Good point, kinda bad delivery, but working to get big picture about energy priorities...too bad he diverted to free trade

9:51--Drill now, drill, drill, drill...but really, let's not talk energy.  Let's talk about trade.

9:53--Obama back on the Columbian murders of labor leaders.  That's McCain's idea of free trade partner.  Probably didn't make a point viewers get.  The energy push is now better...see the CNN line go up!  (sometimes the little graph is fun)

9:56--Healthcare, Schieffer wants to know if they'll cut back on their goals in light of the economy.  My plan is to stay healthy!

9:58--Obama is off with his plan as if it all will be possible...hard to imagine while the unemployment rate will probably scrape onto 9%.

10:00-- McCain has no interest in telling us what he'll cut back on either... just give Joe the plumber another $5,000.  Oops.  I gotta go get a drink... oops... 2 drinks!

10:09--Good, have wine now...heard the $5,000 vs. $12,000 healthcare debate on line.  Well done for Obama...and Joe.

10:11--kinda nice that we're getting a little bit about the Supreme Court.  Maybe make a ripple about Roe, women's rights.

10:12--McCain gets into Illinois legislative minutiae... Obama wants to deny lifesaving treatment for infants?

10:13--Obama has actual facts to get back on this.  Well, I feel better that he's not holding infants over the gas stove.

10:15--McCain wants to brand Obama...as eloquent!

10:17--Last question.  Education.

10:18--All the planks in the education platform... and parents.  Obama's answer not memorable... now McCain wants Charter Schools...loans, loans, loans.

10:21--Good one-liner on leaving the money behind in No Child Left Behind....also now good on McCain's loans actually not an interest group when it's America's students we're talking about.

10:24--Not sure what the voucher program McCain is talking about here is, but his tone will be turning off voters everywhere.  But wait...let's mercilessly segue to autism!   Sarah Palin...great gal.

10:26--vouchers, heh heh heh!!!

10:29--McCain summation.  Must stop spending!  Trust me.  I spent my life at end of long line of McCains humbly serving...Country First!  Thanks.

10:30--Obama summation.  Can't do the same thing and expect a different result.  New policies on lifting the middle class.  Finally, it won't be easy.  With this economy, no kidding!
