Africa and the G8

The Gleneagles summit may be responding positively to the Africa challenge— to at least to more of a degree than we could have expected going in.

ED NOTE- According to an initial CNN report, "Chirac said the agreement was "important, even if it doesn't go as far as I would have wanted it to." But he called the compromise language a "visible, real evolution" in the American position." I guess we'll see in a while what that really means in terms of a real increase in spending and commitment.
