Challenge Obama and Clinton to Join the FISA Filibuster

Since it seems that Barack Obama will be in Washington tomorrow to accept Ted Kennedy’s endorsement, shouldn't he stick around and support Chris Dodd’s filibuster of the telecom immunity deal the new Senate FISA legislation includes?

It would be a great way for Obama to show that he’s putting his vote where his words are— about protecting the Constitution. Wouldn't it also be lovely to see Senator Clinton show up for work, too! How about the two of them showing some fight where it counts?

h/t to Jason Rosenbaum for writing about the 4:30 PM cloture vote scheduled for Monday.

UPDATE 1/28/08- Firedoglake (via Memeorandum) confirms both Senators will be in the Senate to vote "no" on cloture, supporting Dodd. Bravo.
